HTEC as a Platinum Partner of European BEST Engineering Competition – EBEC
Last weekend, HTEC had another opportunity to give its support to young talents who took part in a competition organized by BEST (Board of European Students of Technology). European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) is the biggest engineering competition in Europe organized by students for students in 32 countries.
This year, the competition (EBEC Alpe-Balkan) took place online due to Covid-19 circumstances. 32 local round winners competed in two categories, Team Design and Case Design. The task was to design a 3D Printer cover that will protect the printer from temperature changes and dust, but also be easy and cheap to manufacture, store and setup.
During the competition, the jury and organizers joined the live stream to monitor the progress. Once the competition was over, participants presented their results to organizers and professors and the partners of the event announced the winners who will represent this region in the final round of EBEC.
We are proud to be one of the platinum partners of this event, next to Danfoss and INEA. We are also delighted to witness the creativity, the energy and enthusiasm of so many young talents who want to pursue their career in tech engineering and give birth to innovative solutions that will make a change in the world as we know it.
HTEC engineers took part in the jury process, specifically in the Team Design category, and had the opportunity to interview participants after the competition.
“It is always great to work with young talented students. They usually lack experience, but they are open-minded and can generate out-of-box ideas”, says one of the members of the jury, our colleague Branimir Ackovic.
While all the participants showed immense skillfulness and eagerness to develop the best possible solution, “Vizionarji” from Ljubljana from the Team Design category were the absolute winners.
Lighting the Way for Young Talents
HTEC Group has been encouraging young promising technological minds for years, by organising internship programmes that allow them to get a glimpse of what it feels and looks like to be a part of a growing and innovative culture. On top of this, by taking part in HTEC internship programmes, students have had a chance to work on developing solutions that could have applications in big companies such as HTEC Group.
We are on a mission to inspire the next generation of engineers by supporting them through various initiatives. We are always looking for ways to foster the young talent and encourage them to step into the world of tech where they could leverage their skills and expertise to make an impact.
