Bucharest is the capital of Romania and its biggest city. It is also known as the “Little Paris” due to the strong French influence on the city and its inhabitants. From architecture and atmosphere to fashion and the habits of people living in Bucharest, this influence was especially evident in the interwar period. Today, Bucharest is classy and elegant but also modern and restless — it is a city that never sleeps.
When it comes to the IT market, Bucharest is arguably the most important development center in this part of Europe. With outstanding STEM education and great infrastructure, the city offers diverse opportunities for engineers — which, in turn, attracts top talents from across the country and beyond. As a data engineer, I’ve always been driven by curiosity and a desire to push the boundaries with impactful technology.
