With over 25 years of experience in leading and building technology ventures, Jeff is passionate about harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, life sciences, energy, and data science to solve the most pressing challenges facing humanity and the planet.
Jeff is a serial entrepreneur, technology innovator, and strategic advisor known for founding and scaling multiple ventures at the cutting edge of AI, medical imaging, nuclear engineering, and cybersecurity. As Founder, CEO, and Chairman, Jeff built companies from inception to NASDAQ‑listed market leaders, including Rapid AI and Neoforma, pioneering one of the first profitable AI applications in medical imaging to revolutionize stroke detection globally.
At the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) under the U.S. Department of Defense, Jeff served as Director of the Cyber Portfolio and remains a senior advisor to the DoD CIO. He led deployment of AI/ML‑powered platforms to support cyber threat triage, automated detection, and decision automation for the U.S. Air Force and other defense branches
Jeff is also an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, where he leads initiatives at the intersection of AI, imaging, and medicine. He advises on long-term strategy and mentors faculty and students to help translate innovation into clinical and commercial impact.
Jeff holds a PhD in Biomedical Physics from UCLA, an MS in Engineering Management from Stanford University, and an MS and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Texas A&M University.
